Great moments in History: The Advent of TableTidy
The year is 1989. The Berlin
Wall has fallen
after representing decades of defiance to freedom
loving people around the world, and
TableTidy
is introduced to the Foodservice Market. Mere
coincidence? PERHAPS!
TableTidy was the offspring of
consumer innovation.
After years of facing tables swirling
with little waste cyclones, avid
golfers
Phil and Miki Hughes of Kettering, OH set about to
solve a problem encountered in
every restaurant
and clubhouse grill they visited, yet avoided
by waiters and waitresses, and
considered
by most other patrons as "unsolvable".
A formidable challenge indeed!
Yet undaunted
by the seemingly endless obstacles placed in
their path, Phil and Miki
persevered. They
know it had to be functional, yet discreet. It had to
be convenient to empty and easy to
clean.
It had to be rugged, yet blend with any décor.
After many prototypes examining
various shapes
("it should not look like an ashtray") and components such as stainless
steel, aluminum, titanium, and lead (so Superman could
not see through it!), Phil and Miki
decided
on a fluted, acrylic design. .
Phil and Mike have traveled the
country wandering:
"Where should we play golf
today?" Oh,and they introduced
TableTidy
to eateries along the way. Once seen
and "experienced", restaurant
patrons insist
on using TableTidy, and have become this
unique product’s most ardent
proponents.
To date, thousands of
TableTidy’s units sit
discreetly on tabletops throughout this
great nation of ours...a tribute to
American
ingenuity, hospitality, and our way of Life!
Throughout the past decade of
